IFC Media Project

The second season of The IFC Media Project premieres tonight on IFC at 11:00 p.m. EDT.

According to the IFC Web site:

Season two will cover such controversial and timely media topics as:

  • The debate over whether Al Jazeera English should have a home on American television.
  • The story of a 26-year-old journalism school graduate who journeys to her hometown in North Ossetia to uncover the real story behind the 5-day war between Russia and Georgia.
  • Gideon Yago investigates the debate over clean coal.
  • A look from inside the White House press room on how the Obama administration is relating to journalists.
  • How the current financial crisis affects the health of today's news media and can the news as we know it even survive?
