Make That Disappointing Days

Fast on the heels of the Supreme Court's rejection of the Miller and Cooper petitions for cert, the U. S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit today upheld contempt findings against four reporters (the AP's Josef Hebert, New York Times reporter James Risen, L. A. Times reporter Robert Drogin, and former CNN, now ABC, reporter Pierre Thomas) who refused to reveal sources for their stories regarding Wen Ho Lee in depositions taken by Lee in connection with his Privacy Act suit. The court also decided that there was insufficient evidence to uphold the contempt finding against a fifth reporter, Jeff Gerth (also of the New York Times).
